Harmonious Landscaping
HARTLEY FARMS is located on an historic estate which is an exceptional example of late 19th and early 20th century landscape design. Among its many preserved features is a 13 acre Polo Field, meadows, hedgerows, barns and out-buildings typical of the estates of the period which were built in this region of New Jersey by New York industrialists and financers. In addition, HARTLEY FARMS boasts an irreplacable old growth beech and oak forest, which is administered by The New Jersey Audubon Society as an important preserve for migratory birds.

Residents of HARTLEY FARMS are assured of the preservation of the natural and designed landscape surrounding theirs houses. They also enjoy access to the walking trails and playing fields of 42 acres of common open spaces in the community.
